FIT has redesigned an existing distributor for water and other liquids to create a model that is 81.6% lighter (92g vs 500g [3.2oz vs 17.6oz]). The component also reduces total lifetime costs while improving efficiency. FIT says its design process started with a separation of functions, and an optimization of the outlets was achieved by FEM (finite element method) simulation. Flow quality was improved by the organic design and wall thickness was minimized, but stability has been assured with an exoskeleton.
