Helical Technology expands capabilities at Warton Technical Centre

English components supplier Helical Technology has used Engine Expo + The Powertrain Technology Show in Stuttgart to highlight the expanding capabilities of its Warton Technical Centre.

Built in 1991 as a European research and development center to provide engineering support to the exhaust industry, the company’s continued investment in the site means that it is now used by automotive manufacturers and component suppliers for vehicle, powertrain and emissions testing.

The Helical Technical Centre facilities include 15 test and NVH cells and a calibrated test track – for vehicles and components – including low and ultra-low emission vehicle technologies such as hybrid and electric.

Helical Technology’s global sales manager Johann Bustin was keen to highlight the brand’s capabilities: “Our customers benefit from our more than 50 years of experience; we don’t just produce actuators for turbochargers and switchable exhaust valves for sports cars. In our technical center we also perform dyno testing for engine development, emissions and NVH measurements.”
