Nipass develops improved exhaust insulators

As the quest for increased efficiency and performance leads to an increase in exhaust temperatures, Nipass has embraced the challenge that performance vehicles present with a range of exhaust systems and innovative exhaust insulating materials. Nipass insulates its exhaust systems to withstand temperatures as high as 1,000°C (1,830°F), and for special applications, it uses ceramic fibers that provide thermal protection to 1,300°C (2,370°F). At Engine Expo it will present a microporous insulation material that is seven times thinner than other exhaust insulation materials, allowing it to be used in even the tightest of spaces.
