FEV Group is well established all over the world with 4 500 people and 130 test beds. FEV SA started with engineering testing services in 1989. The oldest center is based in Trappes, near Paris, and near the main French OEMs R&D centers. The latest test center, built in 2004, is located in Rouen, Normandy, one of the main areas for the Automotive Industry in France. FEV in France is also strongly involved in software and testing solutions, including the development and production of products. The first product launched was the MORPHEE Automation System, in 1989, for our test centers and then for OEMs. MORPHEE was the first automation system designed on Windows for personal computer. Then a complete product range for testing was built, now fully integrated in the FEV product range.

Organisation

This position directly reports to the Regional Sales Manager

Missions

Within the regional BTT sales team he (she) is responsible for:

  • Promoting the FEV simulation / calibration product range (Virtual Dynamics, xMOD, xCAL, VCAP, HiL platforms).
  • Presenting this product range to major prospects and customers, OEMs and Tier1 suppliers from different industries (automotive, heavy duty, off road, aircraft, railway, marine) on his geographical zone
  • Selling these products (software and hardware) with the associated services for training, commissioning and maintenance

His (her) main tasks are:

  • Prospecting in accordance with the FEV BT sales strategy at prospect companies or companies who are already FEV customers for other products or services
  • Regularly informing the customers and the prospects about new product features
  • Presenting software demonstrations
  • Identifying the customer needs in terms of calibration and simulation
  • Writing the quotes with the support from FEV technical, administrative and sales teams
  • Presenting the quotes to the customers and prospects
  • Ensuring the sales cycle from RFQ to PO
  • Reporting to the Sales Manager about his (her) prospection activities and the ongoing quotes by using the reporting tools of FEV BT
  • Giving a market feedback on the products to the technical teams in charge of developing them
  • Participating to events like shows, conferences, tech days…
  • Following the rules of FEV Quality insurance system

Skills and competences

  • Experienced engineer
  • Business oriented
  • Fluent English
  • Good knowledge of the targeted industries
  • Good knowledge of simulation / calibration tools (software and platforms)
  • Capacity to negotiate
  • Capacity to assimilate technical information
  • Capacity to set up a strong relationship with customers
