Jaguar details the technology behind the I-Pace

Ahead of it public debut at the Geneva International Motor Show next month, McLaren has released further information on the Senna. Fitted with a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 – McLaren’s most powerful IC engine ever produced for a road car – the limited release hypercar will develop 800ps and 800Nm.

The Japanese OEM has revealed its all-new powertrain system which is set to be installed in 80% of Toyota vehicles by 2023. Based on the Toyota New Global Architecture, the technology will feature a new continuously variable transmission (CVT), a 6-speed manual transmission and a 2.0-liter hybridized engine unit.

Mazda begins production of the new Mazda2

Mazda has revealed the all-new Mazda2, announcing that the OEM has launched production of its next-generation supermini at its Hofu plant, south-east of Hiroshima. The fourth member of Mazda's current model generation features the full range of SkyActiv Technology.


The manufacturer hope that the Mazda2 has the potential to reproduce the immense popularity of its siblings – the Mazda CX-5, Mazda6 and Mazda3 – when it goes on sale in autumn starting in Japan.


The Mazda2 will premiere in Europe with a brand-new small displacement clean diesel engine, the SkyActiv-D 1.5, as well as different power versions of the petrol SkyActiv-G 1.5. Together with the SkyActiv body, chassis, and manual and automatic transmissions, the car also gets the company's innovative MZD Connect in-car connectivity system, a range of i-ActivSense active safety technology and a spacious and refined interior.
