CFT KERS hybrid system to go public for the first time at Engine Expo 2012

High-tech R&D company Flybrid Systems – a key supplier of hybrid technology to cars competing at the 2012 Le Mans 24-hour endurance race – has confirmed plans to participate at Engine Expo 2012, the world’s leading powertrain show that takes place at the Messe Stuttgart in Germany on June 12, 13 and 14.

And visitors to Engine Expo 2012 are in for a real treat when the doors to the Messe Stuttgart open next month, as Flybrid will unveil – for the first time in public – the latest developments to the company’s CFT KERS hybrid system.

The CFT KERS technology is being used, first and foremost, as an endurance racing application, but its specification is also applicable to heavy-duty vehicles. New for 2012 is increased power capability, while overall system weight is maintained.
The key advantages of the Flybrid CFT KERS hybrid system include long system life; high power capability at low system weight; high efficiency levels; low embedded carbon content; full recyclability; and low cost in mass production.

To find out more about this state-of-the-art system, be sure to stop by the Flybrid booth (stand 3360) on June 12, 13 and 14.
